Como parte do projeto "Meninas na Ciência" da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, o Departamento de Física desta Universidade realizará uma visita virtual ao experimento ATLAS na linha de feixes do acelerador LHC em Genebra na Suíça. Durante a visita, as alunas poderão discutir com a pesquisadora Ana Peixoto, coordenadora de divulgação científica do experimento sobre a física, o detector, a operação do LHC entre outros aspéctos. A visita é organizada no Brasil pela professora Gabriela Kaiana Ferreira do IF/UFSC e acontecerá às 11 horas no horário de Brasília. As part of the "Girls in Science" project at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, the Physics Department of this university will conduct a virtual visit to the ATLAS experiment at the beam line of the LHC accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland. During the visit, the students will be able to discuss physics, the detector, the operation of the LHC, among other aspects, with the researcher Ana Peixoto, coordinator of scientific outreach of the experiment. The visit is organized in Brazil by Professor Gabriela Kaiana Ferreira from IF/UFSC and will take place at 4 p.m in the Geneva Time

The Optica Student Chapter from the Goias Federal University (UFG) will visit the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC beam line at CERN Switzerland on April 14th, 2025 at 19:00. There the participants will be able to see parts of the detector exposed near its control room and ask questions to a researcher in the area. The visit is organized by the Optica Student Chapter UFG in Brazil and by the Researcher Denis Oliveira Damazio (BNL/ATLAS) in Switzerland. On April 10th, the Federal Lavras University (UFLA) will host a visit to the ATLAS detector at the LHC beam line at CERN, Switzerland. In the event, the students will be able to interact with a researcher from the experiment and pose questions on the detector, physics and much more. The visit is organised in Brazil by professor Marcia Begalli and Prof. Luiz Cleber Tavares de Brito (PI/UFLA) and in Geneva by the Researcher Denis Oliveira Damazio (BNL/ATLAS) at 19:30 in the Geneva time. A visit to the ATLAS Control Room is organised to the second day of the event. This visit is organised by professors Marcia Begalli (UERJ), Edmar Egidio Purcino de Souza (UFBA) and Juan Lieber Marin (IFBA), Luciano Abreu (UFBA) and the researcher Denis Oliveira Damazio (BNL/ATLAS-CERN) who will be in the ATLAS Control Room to present parts of the detector to the students in the last day of the event. The ICTP-SAIFR Summer School for Young Physicists, organized by Professor Lucas David Feitosa (ICTP-SAIFR/IFT-Unesp/ETEC Albert Einstein/Colégio Santa Marcelina), allows high school students to participate in an immersive project on physics topics. In this context, a virtual visit to the control room of the ATLAS experiment, in the LHC beam line at CERN, on the Franco-Swiss border, will be offered to students aiming at greater integration with particle physics.
