Manuel is a PhD student at the Kirchhoff-Institut für Physik at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He joined ATLAS in 2014 and has since been working on both the level-1 calorimeter trigger and an analysis searching for dark matter. He did his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics in Bielefeld, Germany, in the fields of molecular magnetism theory and material science. For his PhD he decided to switch fields and become an experimental particle physicist.
